Who and what are the High Desert Cruisers?

The High Desert Cruisers Classic Car Club was founded in January 2001. Having had numerous discussions after local car shows, the idea of creating a car club became a reality. Thus, the High Desert Cruisers became a Classic Car Club located in the Antelope Valley.

With 28 members the car club held its first meeting in Lancaster on December 06, 2001 at which time the Mayor, Frank Roberts, performed the Charter Ceremonies. The club doubled in membership before the 2001 year was over, and continues to grow today.

The High Desert Cruisers does have by-laws, here are a few of the requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • Your vehicle must be American made, a VW, or an import with an American drive train.
  • Your vehicle must be 1980 or older.
  • Although it is not mandatory, it is encouraged that members participate in meetings and functions.  We encourage your suggestions and respect your opinions.
  • Activities and events of the High Desert Cruisers include Car Shows and Cruises to various locations throughout the season: Family picnics, BBQ’s, Pot lucks, Parade's and Ceremonies throughout the Antelope Valley.
  • NO ALCOHOL is allowed at any function; also BURN OUTS or anything that might cause public or personal damage is not permitted.
  • We hope that you have lots of fun and enjoy our club and  car shows.
